Break Force Ratchet Straps

Browse ratchet straps by their rated break force, including 250kg, 800kg, 1500kg, 2000kg, 3000kg and 5000kg options. Always check the specified lashing capacity and complete product information before selecting a strap for a particular load.

Endless Ratchet Straps

Endless ratchet straps form a continuous loop around the load and do not use separate end hooks. They are useful for bundling items, securing pallets and restraining suitable loads where separate anchorage hooks are not required.

Ergonomic Ratchet Straps

Ergonomic ratchet straps use an alternative handle design intended to make tensioning more comfortable and controlled, particularly where straps are used regularly in transport and industrial environments.

Stainless-Steel Ratchet Straps

Stainless-steel ratchet straps provide enhanced corrosion resistance for demanding environments. They can be suitable for marine, outdoor and other applications where exposure to moisture is an important consideration.

Cam Buckle Straps

Cam buckle straps provide quick and straightforward restraint for lighter applications. Unlike a ratchet mechanism, the cam buckle is tightened manually, making it useful where high ratcheting tension is unnecessary.

Curtainside Internal Straps

Browse straps designed for internal load restraint within curtainside vehicles and other appropriate commercial transport applications.

Popular Ratchet Straps by Break Force

Our most popular ranges include compact 800kg ratchet straps for lighter load-restraint requirements and heavy-duty 5000kg ratchet straps for professional haulage, logistics and industrial applications.

The break force and lashing capacity describe different aspects of a strap’s performance. Always check the complete product specification and sewn label before use.

Shop Ratchet Straps by Colour

Different colours can help distinguish straps by use, vehicle, customer, department or load type. High-visibility webbing can also make a strap easier to see in busy working environments.

How to Choose the Correct Ratchet Strap

The correct ratchet strap depends on more than its stated break force. Before ordering, consider the weight and type of load, the method of restraint, the available anchorage points, the required strap length and the conditions in which the strap will be used.

Break Force and Lashing Capacity

Break force and lashing capacity are not the same measurement. Break force describes the force at which the complete strap assembly is expected to fail under test, while lashing capacity is the maximum permitted force for securing a load.

Do not select a strap solely by comparing its break force with the weight of the load. Check the product label and specification and ensure that the proposed restraint method is appropriate for the load, vehicle and journey.

Webbing Width

Our ratchet-strap range includes different webbing widths for different load-restraint requirements. Narrower straps are convenient for lighter or more compact applications, while wider webbing is commonly used for higher-capacity commercial and industrial restraint.

Ratchet-Strap Length

Choose a strap long enough to pass over or around the load and reach the approved anchorage points without leaving excessive loose webbing. Individual product pages show the available lengths for each ratchet strap.

Hooks and End Fittings

Double J hooks, snap hooks, D rings and other fittings suit different anchorage arrangements. Endless ratchet straps do not require separate anchorage hooks because the webbing is looped around the item being secured.

Ratchet Straps for Trade and Commercial Customers

MDI Trade supplies ratchet straps for haulage companies, fleet operators, builders, contractors, manufacturers, warehouses and other commercial users. Quantity discounts are available on selected products, making it easier to equip several vehicles or purchase replacement straps in volume.

Our range covers everyday transport requirements as well as more specialised applications, including coloured webbing, high-visibility straps, ergonomic ratchets, stainless-steel components and alternative end fittings.

Ratchet-Strap Safety

Inspect every ratchet strap before use. Do not use a strap if the webbing is cut, heavily worn, chemically damaged or distorted, or if the ratchet mechanism or end fittings are bent, cracked, corroded or otherwise defective.

Ratchet straps are intended for load restraint and must not be used for lifting. Loads should always be secured in accordance with applicable vehicle, workplace and load-restraint requirements.
